It'z like Christmas around the ole Tripper's house lately. All kinda goodies coming in & I finally got my new battery today. It'z a lil motorcycle battery really but several others are using them so I figured I'd give it a whirl! Probably gonna put it inside a .50 cal ammo box! But when Don said he was usin' one... well... I had to have one too!!! :D:eek:[ddd

Those are great looking seats. Yes, a little padding is a good idea.
Wiring is lots 'o fun. Should be a piece of cake with that kit.

Getting closer...[cl

I've always liked a full sized fuse box & I wanted it to sit a lil off the back of the firewall & I didn't want to drill from the front & mess up the smoothness so I made these brackets & welded a bolt on them then welded to the inside firewall & now that sucker has a new home. Gonna map out where things will go out the front & back & get on wit it!!! :D[;)[ddd

Can't wait to hear it run! You gotta post a vid once you get it fired up!

That's 4 shore!!! Can't wait ta fire da big boy up!!! [dr

Nice idea with the fuse block Bob. That's what I do also. Keeps the firewall clean. You're a better man than me ha ha. I usually get my friend to do the wiring because I hate it.

Thanks guys. I worked really hard to keep the firewall smooth & will keep wiring etc hidden too!

Gastrick,
I usually don't do the wiring either but decided to gut it up on this one. I spent a lot of time last nite sorting most of the routeing out. Have fingers & toes crossed now!!! 5 more weeks till show!

I had a break down... er... break through last night on my wiring issue. I spent the night sorting out my strategy for attacking the wiring system. Although the harness seems intimidating, after reviewing the plan I finally realized... it just looks like a lot when all the wires are rolled up but there are basically only 7 wires going to the back of the car & only 8 going to the front. Looking at it that was eased my mental burden! The dash... well that's another story!!![S I'm also thinking about using these repro braided wiring looms from Sacramento Vintage Ford. I love the look!!! :D

.....lettering on the wires is a lil small for an old man who has a hard time seeing anything up close![ddd:D

Speaking as someone who just got readers, a battery cable would be about right for easy read lettering [P

Did you order that from Unkl Ian ?

Bob,
Yeah... I bought some of his stuff B4 but for a long time he only made pins. I saw a kool one that was larger & had bolts on the back for mounting but he wasn't making anything that big at the time but now he is so I had to have one!
