Instead of using a 'fusible link' (which is a the devil to replace if your on the road), I used a 70 amp Painless Maxi Fuse. They are available at most auto stores. I'm also installing the Odyssey mini battery under the cab & used one of my fav tools (a step drill bit) to drill holes, put nuts in them to hold the battery & I'll weld those up after lunch! I'm still in the hunt to finish this PU in my lifetime!!!:D[ddd:cool:

ur not drivin that thing yet?:D Lookin closer all the time.

CD, while another forum talks about their 17 hour build... I'm goin' for the slowest build on RRR. It's been an arm wrassle so far (I've moved twice) & it's still not clear who will win... me... or the truck!!![ddd:D

Got some recent pix of the whole truck?

That is comin' up next!!! I finally got the grill & headlites in & will put the headlites rings on shortly. It's really startin' to look like a '40-'41 Ford now & I'm diggin' it!

Got the headlight rims on today & some other stuff. It's really lookin' like a '41 pickumup now. My bro & sis-in-law are coming over this weekend & I'm gonna roll it our for a lil sunshine for the 1st time in a long while & I can't wait to take some full on shots! In the mean time here's a lil diddy I took with my cell phone in the dark!

I started reading this thread yesterday and I just now went back and saw when you started, this is like an epic saga, a really good book you can't put down. I am glad I will be able to share in the excitement of completion versus reading through this then seeing that it was done like 2 years ago. Truck is looking crazy awesome, and the people on this forum seem like a good bunch so I decided to join and get ideas for a project someday. Keep up the great work!

Just like Mac I just read the whole thread. This truck is really coming together nicely. What part of Houston are you in? I'm on the West side @ Hwy 6 and Hwy 290.

Thanks & it's the saga that won't end!!! I decided to take a lil look back myself & it seems like someone else was doing all that! [ddd

Paul,
I live in the Heights. Been staying in Galveston lately while I'm building a new house & garage!

I had to interrupt the wiring process to install the iBall this morning... love it!!! I've moved on to wiring the dash so I thought the iBall would give me inspiration & watch over my work.. haha!!![ddd[S:D Also included is my cow skull shift knob by the Bonehead! Xcuse the funky cell phone foto but I kinda like the effect!

Where did you get the flying eyeball from? I have been trying to find one like that!!!
