Just found your build. This is something I can really appreciate! Original and creative. Going to be a blast to drive. [cl

Would love some good quality recent photos. I can't quite visualize the radiator/hood dilemma, but neighbor is building a '41 international, using the hood and grill with the wings that tie into the fenders. Looks good. Something similar might cover your radiator and let you keep the stock shape on the hood.

What is the linkage coming off the top of the differential (looks like a 5th link)?

Just a word that popped into my head looking through your build. Seems suitable.

Main Entry: jug·ger·naut
Pronunciation: \ˈjə-gər-ˌnȯt, -ˌnät\

Etymology: Hindi Jagannāth, literally, lord of the world
1 chiefly British : a large heavy truck
2 : a massive inexorable force or object that crushes whatever is in its path

In otherwords: 'that thing kicks butt!' :D

Oh, it's also an X-men badguy:

Ah! Now we can what's going on. Thanks Bud. Personally I like to see a little more originality in paint and flat black makes it hard to see the cool details. When this thing makes the magazines they will want the pix to pop! I vote Battleship gray or even better Caterpillar yellow :)

Thanks earthman, I have never been much on paint. Most of my iron work just has a clear coat on it. Almost went gray but thought is has also been overdone. I am hoping i have did enough work that anybody will overlook the color. Feel if i paint the frame a color then i have just upped it another level as far as a hot rod. I did find a rattle can krylon called Brick satin that matches the primer great. Ya know you gotta kinda hold back from overdoing in some areas or the next thing you know you will have a PP Rod (Painted & Polished)

Well, you could just have it all chromed...;) I think I like the red oxide primer, has a basic, solid, functional look, so the Brick Satin Krylon should look great. Trying to make the same decision for mine when it gets to that point. Like what you have done.[cl

Lookin sweet! Lets see some pics of the jack bolt setup if ya have some. Sounds cool!

Yeh i am kinda likin it more and more too. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks guys. A lil bit goes a long way. Just came in and got the QC almost cleaned and ready to go in. Sprayed all bracket black, Hubs brakes etc. J bar Dampener & bracket. Ready to put motor in and hear headers with this motor. Should hit like you know what. This motor wold rock racecar at idle. Solid motor mounts. Should have on ground by this weekend. Need to match some wheels and tires first. Gonna run dirt track tires till i get the dough for some dot tires. Know most of the troopers and deputies around here so wont be a problem with them.

why is there a red word on my last post. Not sure what it means but i was saying that when it was in my roundy round.

I see nothing in red? Now get back to work - I wanna see how it ends! :)

Must have been the bloodshot eyes

I hear ya. Getting the frontend installed for the last time. Man i tell ya i am lovin the red primer look. with all components flat black, Yeh it was painted with a rattle can. might make a holder for a scratch repair kit(krylon koozie) LOL. should have some good photos in a couple of days.

OK, I got the frame all put together for the final time. Guys i know it may look all neat and clean and not the most trad style rat but i built it myself and hope that counts for some kind of rat point. I dont build them for a livin.Maybe another rat point. I think we could use a point system to determine how much of a rat it really is. Might give it some more thought. Ok back to the build. I have posted some close-ups of the coilover screw jack adjusters and the heavy duty tie rod ends for the pinto rack. It seemed to be a weak link in the steering. Had to move the 4 bar hangers in about 1 inch to line up 4 bar links. Might make another panhard bar to limit the side to side movement. Started working on motor today. Dont have much to do but put on stand clean and paint. Chevy orange. everythingelse flat black. Going to build aircleaner and am looking for ideas. Shoot them to me.
