You seem to have a talent for this sort of stuff. We're so fortunate to have you posting your work here. The Packard is cool beyond words.
Those wheel openings look great, that's a tremendous amount of work. To check for understanding - you cut a 3/4" piece of round tube in half and that became the wheel opening radius?
That's correct, I think it gives the lip a factory appearance plus the tubing I used is about 14 ga., so it's stronger than stock and easy to weld to the thin fender which is 20 ga. or less. Once the tubing is cut in half, it's really easy to shape, I just bent it over the front tire and fine tuned it over my knee.
