Alright, so I decided instead of pestering Don with all my questions why not hit the board - if I have the question, well some rookie will come along and have the same one and hopefully use the search feature (like I did).

So I'm building a 1967 International and my shock mounts are garbage so I need to install new ones - go figure. So I've been deciding on what to do, since I'm going a budget way I obviously want to save money - but I'm not about to risk injury to those who share the road with me, and the safety of myself so I want an option that isn't going to throw me into a mental hospital. Below are a few options, all will be welded to the frame along with to the axle.

As far as pictures of axle/frame mounting spots these three are the best I have at this moment.

- Issue I have with this one is it doesn't show me what the width is for my shock eyelet...and that concerns me!

- Not expensive, which peaks my interest but will it hold properly?

- Fairly inexpensive as well as fairly more substantial thickness wise compared to the two above.

The plan, is to use:

Thanks in advance, I look forward to hearing what you folks have to say!

I think any of those will work depending on your application & welding skill.

Where did you get the U-bolts? are they 1 3/4" width?

Custom made from a local shop, I'm not 100% sure what size - brought the old one to em and asked them to recreate them just a tad longer and they did [cl Got 4 of em for 28$ and had em made in less then 10 minutes.

Welding would be done by a friend - who does welding for his career and is pretty dang good.
