we got the 2 halves, 3 if ya count the hood, mocked up today:D:D

now l have to trim the rear roll cage to make the rear trunk lid area sit right, really not much body work to get to fit, just going to a lot of little tweeks here & there.

my grandson that my older son had before he died was here this week end and did a little cutting on the hood[cl he also wanted to take daddy's truck home,,,hahahahaa, fat chance since he is only 10 years old, maybe in a few years though[S

Aah, it's coming together. You've stuck with this project day after day which is the way to get things done. Looks like Chinese water torture out there though.

Looks like you all are having fun! Great that they are all so involved and help on your projects!

Looking like a chop is in your future on that to get the roof line down to the cage? As it looks like you cannot lower the hood line down much more?

This is going to be a really neat driver when you get it done, a lot of work, but really cool ideas! I like different, and this is different!

cage

hackin' on the cage to get the rear half in..............

love having the kids help, l just wish with ALL my heart his brother could be here to help us .

the working on it together with my younger son brought us closer and for that l am so thankful:D

still plugging away, not going to make the dead line but still be done for some shows this summer, one step forward two back, 2 hours of work on the back of the cage and it still ain't working the way l want to so, more modification[;)....

BUT if was was easy, every body would do it.

l did not mean to make ya feel bad R R, but l know how ya feel, l miss my oldest Son every day, it's been a little over 1O years and there are days l still just sit down and cry, don't make any less of a man, just makes me human:(

just try and remember all the good times, that seems to help me thru it and like my Son, yours will always be in you're heart..

progress

we got the car back to the top of the list and went out to see where l left off.

the front brakes lines, rubber & steel to get the brakes working are first on the list, then start stitching the body together so it will look like a car again.

l got 2 racing style seats to put in and they look cool. l like the holes in the back of the seat for the 4 way belts that l am running.

my cousin runs a body shop and for sponsorship will put the red 2 tone paint job on it.

we need to finished by spring because the new cruzin' starts may 1ST 2014 and l want to drive it there and show what we built over the off season.

more pics soon,

got her in the garage and started the fitting of the body phase.

lots of trimming on the roll cage to get the body to sit correctly, but all part of the fun in doing projects.
