skull you can jump in here anytime and set us straight...

LOL..... are we seeing things or are the upper and lower a arms that far off of square to the frame? Or is that a sprint car thing?....hello...skull you there??

angled

no...it is angled a bit.

when the new mounts were put on for the race car to go left, one of the tricks is set the A arm like that to get more bite in the corner.

my friend with the alignment shop said no worries, he can adjust the front-end so it won't pull and drive 0K because l was a bit concerned about it.

Makes sense, when you are only turning one way, you find a way to make it turn better one way, something I didn't think about. Thanks for clearing that up Skull! Carry on! :D

yeah, some crazy caster set ups on those roundy rounds...

but can see that if they (ball joints) are over under now, simple to set the caster to track good....See DR....your eyes were not deceiving you....mine..well not so much..... :D

the plan is in 2 weeks the crew is coming to help weld the body together then help to get it sat on the chassis and do as much as we can in the the 2 days they are here.[;)

l still have a crap load to do between now and then, so l need to bust butt and get something done in the time between now & then

progress

l got the A arm on the driver side ready to go in, not as much of a set back on the mounting point of this one.

dug thru the shop and found some cool coil over style shocks for the rear that should work fine[cl

l am putting the U shaped diamond plate to protect people when getting in/out & on every where l think someone could scrape on a sharp edge.

should

l think they should be 0K, l have honda 750 V-45 magna coil-over shocks on the rear leaf springed set up my 48 dodge truck and they work great.

these shocks are off a 12OO cc bike & the car has a 3rd shock that mounts to rear-end and then to the frame.

the car is pretty light, about 25OO LBS to 28OO LBS, if not it won't take much to change them out.

thanks for all the input, makes me think[cl

the front sway-bar is on & mounted to stay and the driver side A arm is in:D

shield/shroud

the little things still take the longest l think[S

re-did the shroud that was on the car and it took 3 hours:rolleyes:but it is on that will help keep fingers outta the fan and keep the motor cooler.

also test fitting the seat so l can tell if l did the column right or:eek:

it is a comfortable seat and seems to be 0K, but bolting it down then driving will be the real tell on whether it works.

still a hundred little things and 8 great big ones, but it's getting closer everyday.

one of those little things is figuring out what depth l need to run on the steering wheel but l have a flat spoke, a 2 1/2'' , a 3'' and a 3 1/2'' so one of those buggers should work:D
