No weight jacks in the rear or did you eliminate them?

nope
no weight jacks in the rear. just the driver side had an adjustable mount at the back mounting point of the spring. when l made the passenger side mount l lined up the top holes as a mounting point so the car (hopefully) sits level. if not, with the front weight jacks l will get it as level a possible.

shocks idea
l went to the swap meet yesterday and got some more parts for the car.
l got some mounts, l think there a motor mount but l can make it work for my shock mounts. l'm going to bolt them to the inside frame rail and run the shocks straight up/vertical as possible.
l also made 4 brackets to set the top/bottom of the shocks in so it will bolt up to the swap meet ones.
l got lucky, the stock leaf spring shock mounts is in the perfect spot to put everything where l want it
again, when the rain stops, they'll get put on.
Later

l got some mounts, l think there a motor mount but l can make it work for my shock mounts. l'm going to bolt them to the inside frame rail and run the shocks straight up/vertical as possible.
l also made 4 brackets to set the top/bottom of the shocks in so it will bolt up to the swap meet ones.

again, when the rain stops, they'll get put on.

swap meet part II
l didn't like the red steering wheel the car had so found this 14 inch Grant one to put on it
it is also flat instead of sticking out 3 inches, which is better for my sitting position when l drive.

got them in. there mounted almost straight up and down, they will work good this way.

made the brackets for the leaf-spring side, got already to bolt it together AND--you guessed it.--RAlN
couldn't got this far with out "help". he is a enigma, most cats when ya grind or make a ton of noise they run away...he runs to you to see what's going on OR if l am working in the shop on the rods he will crawl in and go to sleep on the seat or the floor[S

As long as the link end doesn't hit the a arm
when it travels up or down, I don't see a problem......
how would it affect the sway-bar being under the A arm if it won't interfere with the steering components?
this may be the only way to get the sway-bar to be attached on the car.[S

in-between rain l got one of the A-arms mocked up and figured how to bolt it in.
it will clear the weight jack by a lot so no problems there.
thanks sarge, l will just stick it below, there's enough room that it will clear the steering arms, so ya, l think it'll work well.

Is that A-arm very angled to the frame? Maybe its an optical illusion in the pics, but it looks like its on about 30 degrees to the wheel

No, in the 3rd picture, I'm trying to picture the A-arm angle, from a top view of the frame, I'm having trouble seeing it, as in the wheel may be turned to one side, throwing off the view, but it looks like the angle going through the wheel to the center of the A-arm is like 30 degrees to the frame...
I'm just curious if its just my eyes, or if it really is on an angle like that, and why?

I see what you mean...
the upper and lower arms look strange to the frame rail and the angle of the brake rotor.......but I think it's just the camera angle.....otherwise it would have some unusual caster ....more I look at it the more it looks like it is on an angle like that..... I'm going crosseyed staring at it....lol
