tapered perch bolt problem???

I bought some of the flat top tapered perch bolts for my front axle from Speedway (http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Flat-Top-Axle-Perches,5060.html) and they don't seem to fit. I was wondering if these needed to be heated or if something needed to be done to get these things in besides going at it with a sledge hammer. I wanted to swap these out because I heard they are safer.

Those are what I used. They slipped right in with no problem. Could be your axle and radius ars aren't lining up right.

They should slide in smoothly. What is causing the interference?

It just seems like the bolt holes in the axle are too small??? They wouldn't even start to go in.

Speedway doesn't say much more than the dimensions and according to the dimensions they won't fit. Maybe I was smoking crack or something and should try again.
