Wow, I saw him jump in Cincinnati, Ohio in the 70's. I got an autographed photo there which I still have framed. RIP

Sad, I sat and had lunch with him once, in his older years. He was shooting a commercial, and I was working security. By that time he was grouchy. My guess is he had to be hurting. But he still had a commanding presence. He is a man who changed my life some, I jumped a ditch on my bike once because of him. Well almost jumped it.
My guess is there are a million stories of kids on bikes, and motorcycles.
Good bye Eveil, you will be missed.

I saw him in the Astrodome years ago! And like everyone else I watched him bite it big time at Caesars... OUCH!!!

RIP. We are losing more of these guys every day.

One of the most memorable statements I recall him making was, and I am paraphrasing, " I'm going to spend all my money before I die because as soon as I'm gone my wife will have some other guy driving my cars and drinking my wine."

He was a tough old bird, but you had to respect him for doing it his way. I didn't realize he lived right up in Clearwater Florida.
