we are selling the 53 buick.
now just isnt the right time to dive headfirst into a project.
i put it on craigslist and a few car forums but.
if interest doesnt perk up
i will pull the 200 or so lbs. of chrome doodads and sell them
sell both straight 8 fireball engines
and crush the rest.
too bad because it is such a cool car.
but it just isnt in the cards.

i have never just quit on a car project.
so it feels strange.

Bummer

Sorry to hear it but, ya gota do what ya gota do. Think up something really cool for the next one when the time is right.

That's a shame. It's a good looking car but sometimes it's best to pass on a project.
The price is right, there's one the same year & model for sale locally with a Camaro clip and no drivetrain priced at 5 grand.

Most of us have had to sell half finished projects at some point in our lives, either for the money, or if we were moving, or whatever. I have probably sold a dozen over the years because the family came first or I couldn't take it with me when we moved cross country.

When I was going through my divorce I sold off all of my big items, like my engine lifts, tool boxes, compressor, etc because she didn't want them in "her" house. Over time I have replaced them all (except for a "her"), and am in hurry to do that as I want to keep my tools this time. :D

The only comfort I can offer you is that the pain of losing this one will go away and you will find another one that will bring back the fun.

I almost threw in the towel on my rpu when I moved from Texas to S.D. It was maybe 1/4 done. My gf at the time talked me into bringing it so I could see it done. Glad she did even though it took 8 years and lots of bogged down time.
