A great turnout of infection-free guys showed up tonight. Not many unseen cars though. First, a 396 Chevelle, a nice sbc powered Olds coupe and Dave's flathead Ford mild custom, which has been on this thread before. Another beautiful night.
On another subject, I dropped off the Jeep intake manifold at Jerry the Sandblaster's. Haven't seen him in quite a while. We talked about the sorry state of our country.

Lotsa people at Gruber's tonight. Another beautiful afternoon. Good food and unfortunately, too much riot talk. Thee were a cars that were there for the first time this year.
Beaded Bob has owned the black Chevy coupe for 50 years. The green coupe was purchased from the wife of a friend who passed. Had a 348 W motor in it. Now has mucho HP in the big block. My friend Dave made it with his orange long roof. Tuna Can (his nick name) had his big block Ford. Throw in a truck and my old Plymouth for good measure.

Good to see car people still getting together. How long have you had the Plymouth now Bob?

No longer mine, e-man. My son had it after me and he sold it about 9 years ago. I got it free from a high school friend who completely disassembled it and got too sick to put it together. It was chopped when it had 17,000 miles on it and was owned by a local legend, Four Door Fred Romo. Had 47,000 miles on it when I got it. My son and I put all the pieces back together. He got married, sold it and moved to Florida.

Purrrfect night

The weather couldn't have been any better. Had a good group but not too many cars. Usually I show only cars that haven't been seen before but I have to recycle some cuz new ones are not showing up.
We'll start and end with plastic cars, next is Dell's Willys, Jerry's '37, Kevin's MG, Brad's fastback, Dave's long roof. Then we've got Schlor's '37 Gasser, a Hardley Davidson and the other plastic car I mentioned. It belongs to Joe with the Dough, a lottery winner.

But wait, there's more

Don't want to forget Dave the painter's shoebox Ford, Ted our cook's Chevy coupe and last but certainly not least, Fat Cat

Same old, same old. Another beautiful night. I started out in the Fiat but it started behaving badly so I traded it in for the mini van. Here's Greg's blown 383 sbc. Makes 500 HP at the wheels. The Anglia runs. He's making refinements to the body. The Willys is a long term project for someone else. The bagged Chevy was a late arrival.

Look forward to these posts Bob. Just a small reassuring reminder that normal life is still being lived.
