He He He. I bet many will miss the sarcasm in what he posted.
That thread sort of brings home a point. Many of the so called "traditional experts" live in a dream world believing that every hot rod churned out of every shop in the 40's and 50's were typical of the magazine cover cars of the era. Not so. A vast number of them are what most would call rat rods now days.
The car pictured below is a real-deal late 40's dry lakes racer. If a fella was to build this same car today and post it on a hardcaore traditional site, he would suffer a beating for building an ugly rat rod.
