Went to get gas a hour ago and my license plate caught my eye. Well it was there yesterday afternoon.

That sux..I think we are going to start having that problem in Ga. now ,cause they passed a new law--when you buy a car you have to pay a 6.5% one-time title +tag ad valorem tax..

Can't operate a screwdriver? What good is the year decal anyhow?

Last time I got stopped, the cop knew my name, vehicles registered to me, blah, blah... all by entering my plate in the computer (in motion, in traffic). My point is, correct stickers don't prove a thing but I guess crackheads don't know that...

.

That is exactly what they wanted to do, use your current year sticker and put it over their existing expired one so they can keep driving. I hope some sharp eyed cop sees it and arrests them.

The world gets stranger every day.

I guess having a legal looking tag is what some guys are after..just so they dont get pulled over for out of date tags, but if you get pulled over for spending or something ,they are busted.

Isn't new for me. I put tags on my car once, two days later the sticker was gone. Took the plate to the SOS with my receipt and registration that I had just got the sticker and they gave me a new one...... Still sucked....

WOW!!! It's a cheaper fine to get pulled over with an expired tag than to get pulled over with a ficticious tag! Hopefully some observant law man will spot this...[S

Texas used to have a license renewal tag on the license plate itself years ago until we started having that problem so they made a new sticker that goes on the windshield inside the car. If you try to pull the new type sticker off, it shreds & can't be used... problem solved!

They've been doing that kind of crap for quite some time.
Without insurance they can't get plates or renew the old ones.

Some people will do anything.
Some one stole a '87 Jeep in front of my place and left the plates.
Never did recover it but I still have the plate. Go figure.

The reason they snipped the corner of the tin off instead of just removing the sticker is because those stickers are make to break apart if you try to remove them. With some tin snips he just got the corner and can put that over the top of his corner and be on the road.

Obviously, report it and that way the cops will know that it was stolen if they ever stop him for some traffic deal. If your stickers are like ours there is a very small number printed on the sticker that identifies it as who paid for it.

Just when you think you have seen it all...................
