At work I keep the site up and when I get a chance I sign back in and check some of the new threads.....Honestly, it brightens up my day, makes me laugh (sometimes the dispatcher thinks I'm nutz) and takes my mind off the crap I deal with....it's the first sight that I've been on or seen that doesn't knock every thing you do or have or say...a place where you can get ideas, express ideas, get some "constructive" Criticism that is actually useful and have an intelligent conversation with people that have the same interests....all in all, it's just a cool place to hang out.....but that is JMHO which I am known to give from time to time.... much to the chagrin of some.....lol

I like that answer. Some of the folks on here probably don't realize that law enforcement is sometimes hours and hours of pure boredom, punctuated by brief minutes of sheer terror. This is certainly a welcome break from all that...wait a second, I'm retired from all that! Anyway, good answer...can I change mine?

There is enough retired, active and brand new PO's on this site that have expressed the issues and concerns and interjected opinions that you'd be hard pressed to not have a better understanding of the job.....the toughest part of this job is getting past the image / perspective of that one or two bad apples present, that tarnishes L.E. in general....Ok...off the topic and off my soapbox....God, I'm beginning to sound like Torchman...LOL Just kidding Tman

For me its simple. I dont like 4 door cars or wagons, So i dont post on those. That would be negative, and there is enough of that. Same with I-6 motors. Same car with a v8 ill prattle on for days about. So basically I try to just say good things. If I have info to add, I will. IHC history is my strong point so I at least look at every International thread.

I regularly check this forum as well as others with similar topics. I respond to those that move me to do so. Some are areas of personal interest, exceptionally done projects, or just good tech info. Others are out in la-la land and I just cant help myself.

There was a psycologist on the radio one night talking about poltergeists demons devils angels and posession...
His technical term for harmful spirits that do possessions were malevolent inhuman spirits.
His rational for using that term was that these were spirits that are not from a mortal human origin. They were without a way home. they are not good spirits, that they had no opportunity to be born into a mortal body, be forgiven of sin, die and enter heaven so they enter inhabited human bodies and influence that person to self destructive behaviour in hope that they will be present in the body when it goes through death and therefore enter heaven.
If I remember correctly the immortal souls of the Nephillim after they lost their bodies haunt the earth. Demons were described as lesser spirit beings and fallen angels described as more powerful but without any desire to enter bodies having the power to take up form as they wish.. the fallen angels are the fathers of the nephillim a cross breed between mortal physical humans and immortal angels (spirit creatures) angels I think can be killed but they just don't die of natural causes. some Fallen Angels being the GODS of epic tales of various ancient cultures. It is believed that there was a time when fallen angels walked openly among humans and were worshipped as gods.

Oohh and now we go to the subject of the paranormal; which is something I've studied my entire life. The general consensus is that demons/devils/ fallen angels/nephillim are beings that never walked the earth as humans with a human soul.

Poltergeist activity is usually attributed to malicious ghosts or possibly psychokinesis from stress or tension. A lot of times if there's classic poltergeist activity in a location there's someone tied to the location going through something traumatic such as severe hormone changes, puberty, and so on.

Then you have the classic ghost, which would fall into two main categories. Residual hauntings and intelligent hauntings. Think of residual hauntings as a tape being replayed over and over again, only it's the residual energy tied to a location and it's not aware of you. Intelligent haunts are the ones that you can get interaction with.

I had my first experience when I was only a few years old, and over the years I've had many experiences that can only be described as paranormal in nature.

Why I post:
1. Give hot rod building advice and information.
2. Give encouragement.
3. Compliment jobs well done.
4. Thank posters for their contributions such as show coverage, road trip pics, material garnered from other locations.
5. For better or worse, display my projects.
6. Create some amusement.

Someone mentioned the large number of builds going on. That is one of the highlights of RRR for me. But I feel silly remarking on every thread everytime there is progress posted. That may be true for others also. Used to wonder why so few comments on one of my build threads but realized that lots of people were viewing. If they keep viewing they must be enjoying.
