So a friend comes over after work to have dinner with the family. He asks "So what does the truck sound like"?....Lemmie fire it off for ya....:D....(The tranny has been out for 2 weeks now) 5 seconds after it fired , hes tells me " you're throwing sparks"......"AWWWWW SSHHEEYYIITT"

the main hot wire that feeds the fuse box got cut in 2 by the flywheel when I fired it up. I picked up the harness and could not tell it at the time, when I let thharness go the bare pos (+) hit the flywheel ahain and " bbbbbbzzzzzzzzzz"

Long and short of it
I now have to rewire the truck and don't have a lot of money.
How many circuits do I need?
Will that one KB sells for 100.00 be good?

I just need help.

Thanks ahead of time guys.

You have to rewire the whole truck? I would try to locate the wires that are fried and patch new ones in. Seems like a whole new harness would be overkill. Likely the main hot wire is the only one that is fried, since the truck was still running.

I'm thinking the same as BigIrish, check it out and see how bad it really is and then go from there.

I pulled the tranny cause it was bad.....:D
I know whitcs wire it was, but I have other issues with the wireing in the truck. Been wanting to rewire for a while now.

Did ya get the huge white cloud of smoke, and the smell of burning plastic in your whole shop?

I remember when i first built my jeep it was just sitting there at idle, i left it to get a soda from the fridge, and came back to a room full of smog. Scary feeling, didnt know what to think. First reaction was "Fire = dump water on it" luckily i thought that one through. By the time i caught it i was allready too late so i just turned off the key and let it put it self out. No carpet or firewall padding, so it couldnt hurt anything more. At that point of its life it was just a bare bones 4x4 w/ mechanical guages. So re-wiring was no big deal.

A year later this happened again, i think that time was because of the elec. fuel pump.

I would cry if it happened now. All my gauges are electronic, all lights are LEDs. And my buddy re-wired it the last time i had it all apart, he's a retired Air Force electrician. Worked on the Stealths when they were stationed here at Griffiss.

Fried wire clog veins now.......OMG......

Not the whole shop filled but a big enough cloud of smoke to see it and smell it for about 10 minutes.

If you want to, give me a call at 618-395-8216 and we can discuss a Rebel Wire harness for your truck. I think the quality will impress you and the price is right.
