Old Iron. As usual you hit the nail on the head. This is by far and away the best site on the net.Respect. Support. Sharing of knowledge and caring about each other.
It is interesting that 99% of the support that I have received from my daughters little fund raising effort for me has come from my RRR friends. And for that I thanks you all.

Enough of the warm and fuzzy stuff.

Some PROGRESS today.[cl :D [cl
Feeling good enough to get out to the shop and start to reorganize in preparation of my suspension parts coming.
The big Mahogany rocker is all that is left of a full bedroom set that my Grandfather chopped up for Firewood. It is going to a young friend that is setting up an apartment.
Truck will be turned sldeways between the lift uprights allowing me axcess to work on it and still getting 2 cars into the garage. Now that it is snowing again.
Thanks for visiting.....
Torchie.

Torchie, that 'kid on Christmas morning' feeling comes on strong when you're ripping open a box of new parts. I just went through the same thing a week ago, getting a box from Speedy Bill's. Most of my stuff will be used in the future, but it's the feeling of ripping open boxes of parts that gets your heart pumping in time. Have a Merry one.

Back to the boring stuff...

Kind of cold here today but got out into the shop to start putting the drive shaft/torque tube back onto the rear end.
Some before and after shots of the cleaned up Tube.
I've got to figure out a spot that is warm enough to paint it. Maybe the living room................[ddd
Thanks for looking in.
Torchie.

Cleaned up pretty good! Careful on the paint. I screwed up the other day and painted my floors. Temps were dropping and it went below freezing 3 nights (I know that doesn't sound like much to our northerners...) My paint didn't dry to touch for 3 days. I had 4 lights in the cab with all openings closed 24 hours a day. Seems like every bit of moisture squeezes out of the sky and settles on cold metal.

Nice clean up job Torchie! This is going to make one sweet custom!

I interior died some sun visors over the weekend and the temp dropped outside so I brought them inside to dry and 'hid' them in my man cave... it was all good until the wife opened the door.... then I WAS BUSTED:eek:

so I tossed them in a bag to dry.... it turned out ok... I'm hoping for another house with a garage in 2015 :D.... I know the wife is too

Woke up early this morning angry for some reason. So while the house slept I took it out on the garage/shop.[S
6 big bags of **** for the dumpster.

Torchie.

Been filling the trash can with junk the last few weeks trying to un-clutter the back yard "shop" area. Somewhat of a hoarder, but there are things out there that are just silly to keep, so out they go. A friend lost his job and was recycling metal to help pay the bills and I gave him a bunch of stuff, then find out I should have kept some of it! Ya just never know sometimes... [S
