    Eastwood Bead Roller

Beadrollers I think they are all pretty-much the same. They are built CHEAP so I just expect to make some "improvements" when i do buy any equipment that's "Cheap"! The WHEEL instead of the crank is a definite improvement, especially if you work by yourself. The Tensioner needed...

    Hobart 125

125 I'd replace the BREAKER to start with........ They do get old and weak and won't last forever!! Loose connections (inside the breaker box) cause heat too & that's not good.

    My new sweetheart

I think I'd determine what my ride-height I wanted for the frame, then install a couple pieces of steel to hold the frame up off of the axle at that height, tack them in place. Then center the spring on the axle and determine where the spring shackles are going to be mounted onto the...

    1941 chevy heater blower motor

You can probably do it that way, but keep on looking for a 12v model, they come in all sizes and shapes. All you need is one that fits in the space available, the rest is just mounting it.

Would you buy this '62 Econoline pickup for $500?

That type of truck is getting hard to find in my area, so if you're really serious about having one, that one doesn't look like it would be too hard to get started on. Glass looks decent, sheet metal looks kinda crappy but it's mostly paint etc. A bunch of TLC and you can be...

    braze welding question

Oxy-Gas WELDING I am no "expert" on the subject but I was into a project a couple years ago where I was building 2 x 2 square tubing, after other parts were assembled onto one side of the tube. I was using my Oxy-Accetline (?) gas, WITH NO FILLER MATERIAL, and welded the two pieces together...

You won't have me to kick around anymore !

CONGRATULATIONS Don.... I've always enjoyed your work and comments on what-ever it might be that you're building or built some time in the past. Hope you continue as much as possible. I "retired" from my regular job (after 34 years) and that was in 1998. I went back to work a week later with a...

    Removable hard top

The lines look great, but if you put a soft/stretchy top on it, you might need to add horizontal bracing across the back/top corner to keep from pulling the very outside braces in. I'm anxious to see the finished product.

    Lincoln 225

I'm no expert welder but I've put together a lot of 2-wheeled trailers, carts and a lot of other stuff over the years and I used a "Farmers Special" Stick Welder for all of them. I started with and stayed with the rods in what I call the "6000 series" of rods. There a lot more different types...

    4 link help

I'm no expert, by any means but that 'DIAGONAL BAR" that you're showing isn't going to serve as a PANARD BAR though. You need to hook it from one side on the axle assembly up to the opposite side ON THE FRAME, so it can hold BOTH of the assemblys in the same plane as they move up and down. I...
