So there has been a little progress on my car I have been tugging around the last few years. Tonight I got the chop started ! I have had my lines loosely laid out for a LONG TIME (almost four years actually) and finally my wife and I chopped it ! We decided on 3 3/4" instead of the 4.5" I had originally thought about. Next is to do my doors,I'll have to make them fit since my car is a 3" shorter in the doors than the skins which came off a master series. So,I get to section them, and chop them....fun fun FUN ! anyway here are the pics [;)

Haha,I'm not real sure what the deal is. I have tried a few times to load the pics but it keeps saying something about a missing token....

Thanx, but those would be the key words there, "so far" Haha ! I am super happy with how well the a pillars line up,with there only being about 1/8" to blend on the outside of each post. The B-pillars...I moved back about 2" and they are good now. I am going to cut long reliefs and try to sneak the rear gap together then work out the rear windows.

Thanx everyone,I hope to post more progress after church today ! Maybe I can get my doors "sized"

Well no photo progress tonight...Forgot the camera, but I did get alot of welding done. Finished my B pillars, almost finished reshaping the rear and side windows, and got the driver side rear of the car roughed in. Pics tomorrow.

Here are a few more before pictures give a better idea of what I am working with.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. I am just trying to take it a little at a time and not get to overwhelmed buy the HUGE slices that were needed to get the rear of the roof to lay forward and meet the rest of the roof. I am not as experienced with metal work as alot of you guys so I find it easy to get discouraged. [S

Don't be discouraged! Slow and steady wins the race, just don't let your frustration run you over, take a step away, and try again later, that has turned out to be my best weapon against frustration, otherwise I tend to get a little destructive :)

I agree, and try to live my life in the same general fashion. I spent about an hour on it tonight just stitching the slices back together where I had to pie cut to remove metal and got one side done. I hope tomorrow I can do the other side, then add some pie strips to fill the gaps. Once I get that all sorted out I will start my doors ! Then it's time to do the frame. [cl
