    My first build-1938 GMC pickup

I like the price your pops paid for the cab. I paid $35 for my 38 IHC a couple years back. Great work going there too :D Maximo

    possible rat chassis?

As far as a beat suspension, it is usually a good practice to replace the old and worn items of any build. If you need king pins, replace the bushings and everything that belongs to it. If you need new bearings, replace them, the same goes with shocks and stearing assemblies. And to drop it on...

    Model A Sports Coupe

It really shouldn't matter what you start with. Just only when you are finished, are you gonna want to ride in it or push off to someone else? I like to build it to be safe and practical. if I can add some touches to make it more appealling, then I did good. I for one like both styles, so it...

So I got this idea, what do you all think?

Only problem.....the big3 are at each other and the over seas companies are at it aswell. Plus big brother has all sorts of hurdles to jump over once you start producing more then 1 car per month, or selling 5 cars per year. Then you are under another catagory and would be required by the...

    Fiberglass bodies.....

Some really sweet rides........glass is an art form many do not want to deal with. Very time consuming and your work can be quickly be trashed with a bad mix of gue. Twice as long over tin bending for time, and not open to much in simple mistakes. I stuck with building boats in my earlier days...

Do you need a title for your car???????

Here in Utah there are several ways to skin the kat! However, if you really want to beat the system, I have the best solution. First, you need about 25 pictures of the ride, showing all the work required to bring it back to the OEM specs. Then, you do a detailed listing of the cost to bring the...

Just a few little up dates!

From the front, it reminds me of a "DarthVador" look, only on wheels. Simply.......really an eye catcher on the road. The little stuff is what makes a great looking ride. Keep up the good woork....:D....Maximo

    my 41 rat build

What kind of ground clearence are you having in that set-up? Really don't mean to sound like a black cloud.....but.....around here, that just would not make it across the street. Our intersections are raised with deep drainage troughs. Your design shows maybe 3" of ground clearence under the...

Talk about parting out a car!

Most everyone who deals on ebay does get a bumb deal during their learning curve. I have been screwed more then once out of stuff, but I have made more then 100% of the stuff that I have been screwed on. So, if you all are game, lets crusify this bumb and get his knickers all twisted around his...

    Taking "traditional" to the extreme

I prefer the use of 1" x 2" tubing over square tubing. Mainly for the support in building interior body supports and such items as places to mount essntial interior items. I helped an associate build a complete bucket with 1x2 framing tube. Then he skinned both sides with insulation and sound...

rat rod or not rat rod?

Looks great for a descent street rod.......I think maybe 3" to 4" off the top and a gental slope to the back would add some fast to the look.:D Just my opinion :p Maximo
