Been waiting for 2 months for the tires to show up, got them yesterday and had them mounted. 5.50 x 16 and 7.50 x 16 Coker classics on 16 x 7 knock-off wires. I deliberated for quite a while on wheel and tire sizes, trying to find the widest whitewall without being too tall and on the wheels I like the small hub of the knock-offs. Every time I see a 30's car with later OEM style 15" wire wheels, they just don't look right to me - too small with large hubs. Just had to deal with the fact that they are imports ....

Thanks fellers..
Wish I had more going on with this build but too many other things going on...
Need to finish up the golf cart build first, a bunch of non-car stuff to get done, couple shows to attend and a trip to go on - looks like nothing much will get done 'til October :(

Bolted the fenders together and posed it with the wheels to see how it looks, and to get a clue as to front end suspension and rear end width I'll need to work with. It'll take some careful brain scratching to get this slammin' stance when it finally gets moving..:)

I like the direction thisis moving, I'm looking to do the same with my 40 Chevy.... I think I may even change my back hump in seeing how much is smooths out the look of the car! :)

Getting a chance to play with the parts is inspiring and really helps me to visualize the direction of the build. Every build I do starts with the wheels, everything else fits around them.
