Product of an afternoon of wackin' and tackin'....
Stitched together the cowl sides and tacked the rockers to the rear section. Front roof section is tacked in place, no relief cuts needed on the A pillars, just some hammering and prying to do to get them to line up. Though the body is shortened 5", only 3" had to be cut from the roof as the front section slid forward and the rear back due to the 2 1/2" chop. Starting to look sorta like a car again... :)

Spent a few hours today just squaring up and bracing the body. Apparently my tape measure lied to me yesterday :rolleyes: found that the body was 3/8" longer on the left side than the right - after some more slicing and re-tacking, things line up right.
Cut 10" off the rear passenger door - this will get added to the rear of the drivers side door - after cutting 5" off, it will lengthen the door by 5". Gutted out the rear door frame and tacked the lower half of the door skin to the quarter panel and tossed the fender on to see how things look so far.

That is coming alone awesome! Such solid sheet metal too. Might have a bit of wind noise at the back though...[cl
 
very cool! WOW that's going to be a huge door and 1/4 window it should look a mile long when all together.[P

The door and quarter window are actually not much different in length than a regular 2dr. it's more to do with the visual effect of the chop and section that make them appear long.

Yeah the rear is where the real fab work starts due to the removal of the humpback, so far it's just been a matter of re-arranging pieces into the new shape.
Tacked in the other quarter panel piece today and made some progress piecing together the passenger side window frame.

Gotta go suicide doors on this one.
Only had a couple hours to work on it today but got the passenger side window frame pieced together and fixed the joint at the rear of the window opening with a patch from the piece cut out from the top chop.

Got the drivers side quarter window frame pieced together today. Shaved a little off the rear sides, rolled a curve in a piece of 1" square tube and tacked it in back level with the bottom of the fenders. To get an idea of how it may look, I strung some tape to help visualize the end product.

35 -36 Chev / Olds ?
Never cared for that style - looks like a bad pantyline on the south end of a north bound chubby lady...

Yes, it's a '36 Chevy. Your Packard brought it to mind and I wondered what "The Man They Call ZZ" would do in a similar situation. :D

Trunk lid, yes (that should be fun to make [S). Something similar to these 36 Packard flatback sedans, though I think I'll square the corners of the lid.

That thing is looking great. I have a 37 model 1094 touring coupe myself,so Im looking for ideas.Im really looking forward to see what the ft of your car is going to look like.I need a hood and I cant find one for a decent price,so Im looking for ft end ideas.
