I'm Likun It !

It might help to pie cut hood, but it's not real easy if you haven't done one [S
It looks like the hood might not all the way closed [S

The 54 behind is a good idea [cl

could be a simpler rout would still achieve "that look. "

Thinking....
I kind of like what's going on so far. Mostly.

You have a flat line from the back to the windshield, then the front fenders go down hill, but the hood stays on that flat line.

What would happen if the hood was pie-cut to take the top line of the hood on the same line as the tops of the front fenders?

I think it would look rather modern. Aerodynamic. Slippery.

hansgoudzwaard that is true.... Maybe I'll like it better with paint.... and a rake?

Skip.... I agree the front fenders do slope abit more than the 54, which are razor straight.... I think they were saggin even more in this pic because I hadn't secured tehm and the big hood was weighing them down...

Soltz- You aer correct teh hood isn't all the way closed.... I've not flattened anything like a hood or trunk.... so that is an idea[S

Looks liek I need to take some more photos now that I have straightend out the car.... Then I should be able to get a better idea.... I really love the back end of teh 54... it's just something about those hips.... [cl

Thanks for the feedback guys!

And what is this about March 14???

Actually think the big nose on the hood lends a good balance to the bump on the trunklid. I wouldn't change it, but that's just me. The rendering looks great, better than I expected.

just went thru your pages of work. Very nice project. Great ideas.
I am a fan of the traditional hood lines. I have not had one in a while. but some day soon. I am almost done with my 49 Ford but its not a chevy1179.jpg

April Update

Well... this months update[S

Got back to the bone yard I got teh buick bumper from last year... the grill was removed so Ihad clear access to the bumper brackets! [cl so I snagged those... not back for $20 considering teh bracket assembly is make up of 5 parts.... anyway... I have quite a bit of work to do on making the brackets work with the new frame....

I did get out and do a little short driving... waiting on my radiator shroud and new fan, then it will be tiem for more road trips....

the last photo shows what I'm thining of doing on the front end...

Thanks guys....

So My fabricated Aluminum radiator shroud finally showed up after months of finding one at the right price.... all I lack is a 14" fan... and then it's off to driving the 50 more working out the kinks.... or putting the body together...

Fans on with a little help

Well... Rat Matt dropped by on his journey across the US and the his world trip. He hopped over and went straight to work geting the fans wooked up on the 50 Chevy... now named 'Bella'.... and also worked out the brake light issues....

He will be moving onto his next destination next week ,so I figured I'd give him a little plug here.
