Ending 2014

Ending this year.... The truck has gone through a few changes...

There was a motor swap I think in 2013... I pulled the 327 to replace the valve seals... they were hard as rocks...

I put a 1976 L-82 350 from one of my dad's corvettes in it

So far, I'm still running that motor....

the 327 is now in the 1950 2 door chevy...

I have had to upgrade the wire feeding the fuse block in the truck, as the original size I think was just too small for the new electronics I'm running...

I also switched to some red steel rally... i think they really set the truck off....

Not sure what's next for 2015... maybe air ride????

Thanks!!!! There was alot of photoshops and renderings before I went for the paint idea... i was a bit nervous because I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I love the effect and with the tinted windows the truck looks like it has a small chop
Gotta love those AC's that never run out of Freon!

Couldn't Resist Driving her Again...

Well, I got the Saddles re-welded on the rear end and the Holley figured out... I think[S.... so of course I had to take her for a drive or two...or three...maybe four... I've lost count since I got it all back together

I may even post a burn out video.... maybe hahahahaa.....

I found the mis-matched beauty rind and swapped it out... I guess that's what happens when you have 9 or 10 rings in a pile... and here I thought they were all the same... anyway here are some more pics!

I also installed the big foot pedal I found on e-bay... yes it's scratched and ratty looking. What's the point in putting something brand new in an old truck?

I still have a little electrical bug to work out, maybe I'll tackle that and straightening the bumper [ over Christmas break...

I had one of those pedals on my 55 back in the 70's. It was vintage Moon equipment as I recall and only had 4 toes.

I really have loved bringing this truck back to life... I've still got some work to do on the dash... three lights to go with the switches and a filler panel around the radio... and oh yes... another speedometer.. I broke the needle and the gears in it... Too fast for my own good I guess hahahahaaa

Christmas Cruising

Well... no snow for Christmas in my neck of the woods, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a blessed time! I got Vicky out for some sunshine... seem to have the bugs worked out of the Holley... for the most part... still cold natured at start-up, even with the electric choke[S maybe one of you guys know how to adjust that silly thing....

Took the dash cluster out and dropped the column and tracked down wires and found the issue... I think... so now I have a constant 13.5 +/- volts even with the lights on at night and the cooling fan and radio blaring

Also got some work on the 50 chevy... but you guys will have to look for that in my other build
