I'm with you on this Old Iron. If we keep worrying about what might happen if seven different things go wrong at once, we will go and hide under the bed and get nothing done, [that includes living].
You're doing fine, keep on tinkering.

Those tubular arms are the only way IMHO to make a open IFS look good. Saw one a few years back, smoothed and fully chromed, didn't look bad at all.

I tacked the triangulated 4 bar on today, cut upper bag mounts out and tacked them on too.
I have to cut the chassis to do the S drop, like the 35 Dodge pickup, with air out, the rockers will be 1" off the ground and 4" at ride height.

Finished the C notches this morning.
My son welder burnt his eyes yesterday so he's recouping today. Tomorrow he'll grind the welds smooth.

You are moving right along on this one.[cl
Sorry to hear about your son. Tell him to get better.
Torchie.
Not too bad. I don't ever think I get enough done each day though :D
Thanks, we were tacking parts together and he got flashed several times :(
He's tough so tomorrow will be a better day

We got the frame all done and the body resting on it.
With no air in the bags, the rockers are 1.5" off the ground :)
At ride height they are 4.5"
The wheel base is 116"
Unless I get bored, I won't work om it till Monday :D
Everybody enjoy the 4th holiday and be safe [cl

Yesterday I started to get back on the project and another one got in the way.
When we went to work on it today the owner called and asked if we had the engine and tranny in.
I told him, if we had worked on it yesterday it would have already been installed.
He decided to go with a 318 instead of the 440  now we are installing the 318 tomorrow. :(
I didn't argue the fact the 440 would be more fun after all it is his ride
I'll post pics tomorrow.
Thanks for dropping in

Boy OI, going from a big block to a small block just on a whim sure took the wind out of my sails.
Yea, me too. I was lookin forward to putting the 440 in.
If I hadn't been so lazy over the 4th holiday  I'd have already had it stuck in there and he would have been just fine with it.
Don't have anyone to blame for that except me [S :(
His reasons for the change was, the 318 and tranny have been rebuilt. He also had a set of headers for the 318.
I promise it won't happen again

We installed the engine and tranny.
Cut the firewall and floor to fit.
Set the cab down on the frame and hung the headers.

Can't blame the guy! He saw what a little work in the right direction did for this truck. Now he wants it running as soon as possible. Nice work Iron & son...[cl
