Yea, it is nice to do that when you need it....

Not a lot of gas in the tank lately, and lots of other stuff going on...

but I managed to get the panhard bushing pressed out, and re-welded the end back on, and pressed the bushing back in (as to not melt it)... To get the bushing out I turned up an anvil, and had a die from something else that I opened up to support the sleeve. I had to get the help of a friend at a dealership where they have a press, as my arbor press at work just didnt have the umph to press it out... however the vice at home had enough to put it back in [S[S[S

Tomorrow is the last day of work until the new year for me, so I am hoping to get quite a bit done after the xmas items are wrapped, and such ;)

Anyhow, on to the pics

The it's about Darn time!!!

1st time in 14 years I have taken off the week between the holidays. :)

Enjoy man....I'm working Christmas eve and New Years eve....figured I'd work to let some of the youger officers have the nights with their families and friends.....especially Christmas Eve.....Nice quiet time for thoughts and reflection......Normally ...

DR, it looks real nice under there.

Thanks Bob!

Well on to the updates, I finished the panhard bar mount tonight, everything was setup jsut about at ride height, and the pics I took after releasing the straps so the angle looks pretty steep.

Also cut down one of the front axle mounts, and added the curved sections. just need to make a couple pieces to fill in the sides, I'm going to leave the bottom half open so there is wrench access I think... Still have to finish the other side, hopefully tomorrow. And hoping to work on the cab body mounts too, and finish weld some other brackets to the frame.
The spring mount on the front axle is just hanging from the spring in this pic, not mounted.

On to the pics [;)[;)[;)

Looking good DR. The detailing on the front suspension components is a nice touch. Looks like you've pressed the new welder into service...

Thank you sir, and yes, probably 4 or so lbs through it on .030 wire already!
Lovin the new welder that is for certain! [;)[;)[;)

Thanks Z!

Tonight, not a lot of gas in the tank, but managed to get the other front axle spring mount finished, and added in some plates for the spring mounts on the frame.

Still have some finish welding to do, but I did some on the upper link mounts, which will need some clean up, looks like I was more tired than I thought...:(

Ok, back to work! Cab mounts & brake MC mounting is next

Well, I got the front frame and cab mounts fabbed up tonight, going to sand blast them tomorrow, and get them tacked in tomorrow night. Then its on to the rear cab mounts, probably going to try raising the rear of the cab some, so that there is more rake to the cab at ride height.

The brake booster and MC is just laying in there to see how its going to fit, looks like I have JUST enough room to mount it where I want it... probably have to fab a new pedal assembly...

These mounts are going to use the stock Ford body mounts, so hoping that they will keep the vibrations down in the cab ;)

Anyhow, on to the pics

Front Cab mounts tacked in place

I decided to move up the floor a bit so that I never run the risk of the floor hitting the frame, as well as giving me room for a 1"x1" square tube for the framing under the floor for structure. I got the two front cab mounts tack welded to the frame and to the cab, the cab mount is in line with the front door jam and will have a gusset into the door jam as well.

Anyhow, on to the pics:

Not a whole lot to report, went and picked up my seat bases, and took some measurements from the seats so I can plan the floor of the truck when I get back out to work on it....
Seats should be upholstered sometime in February...

I have high back seats out of a winstar ford van that have risers on the bottoms, I may end up making my own risers, as its looking like the risers are too tall, but I have to do the mockup first... I'm having them recovered in dark red/burgandy and antique white like the 60s thunderbirds had, I posted some example pictures a bunch of pages back.
