Sorry for the lapse in visiting & posting.
Off for a week? Maybe he is trying to make it ready for Billetproof? I will give him a call.....
Ehh, I needed some time away from the internet, and took some time off from sheet metal work. I was getting REALLY tired of panel beating & fab work.
Had some issues with family and my daughter's mother so I just needed to be away from things for a bit...
Anyhow, so I decided to work on the fuel lines, and I found that I cannot bend or flare the stainless steel line, so I have a company that is going to build my lines off my CAD models. I need one fitting that was damaged when removing it from the multivalve as well, but I think I should be able to get one.
So I have been really busy disassembling the old tank... this reads: its like building a ship in a bottle, but you cant see through the bottle... [S[S[S
I got the pump and sending unit assembly out of the old tank, and the multivalve that goes on top... whats weird is the multivalve I have uses o-ring or orb fittings with a snap clip jiffy tite setup, where as the other couple multivalves I have are compression fitting setups... The jiffy tite is much easier to deal with as you do not have much room to work to tighten lines inside the access area.
So, its been a bit of a frustrating ride lately, both life and progress on the truck...
I did find a grille insert and had to pay a bit to get it, but its ratty, and missing the top bar, but I plan on shortening the top as it is a little too tall, and also cutting around the axle for suspension travel. So enjoy the mockup pictures =)
