Finished the tunnel cover and installed the shifter, I love these ProSticks.
Serious view obstruction (just the way I like 'em)
Been on this for a month now, I brought it home on Dec. 20th.

Did anyone else notice the hood stripes and the 6,500 redline factory tach? Could that car have been a (gulp!) L-88 monster? Run the numbers, man!!!!

It was a Tri-Power, 4-speed, it was butchered in the mid '70s then back-halfed in the '80s.

Well at least whoever originally modified it did it when it was cheap. Looks like you are doing a good job.
My vette however will take a slightly different path when I get around to it.

Started the aluminum work tonight.

Got the brakes finished.
Got some 3" drag mufflers, they are still pretty loud.

Adjusted the coilovers for some more clearance.

The mufflers don't stick out too bad, kind of like the Vette below.

It should, the blue and white car had a 390HP 427 400TH and mine has a beefed up 454, 400TH/2500 stall, D60/4:88. Mine is probably lighter as well, it was totally gutted.

Yes, I live about 20 minutes from Bristol International Dragway (Thunder Valley) and we have "Street Fights" on Thursday nights.

Spun a rod bearing in the first motor so I'v e started building another 454.
On another note, I got most of the interior done, the driveshaft cover is 1/8" steel. The aluminum on top is just for looks (mates up with console and rear seam).
I'm using a different Tunnel Ram on the new engine and plan to keep the old one for a future project.
