There are at least a couple of Y block groups that I know of. One is on FB if you deal with that. Or just try googling it.

Thanks for your guys’ input. Egge carries everything except cams and pistons and mummert doesn’t deal in Lincoln at all. Te engine turned pretty easily once everything was apart so it may just take a hone to clean her up. If not, I have found some pistons on ebay but they seem to be few and far between. I’m going to have to get her on a stand to tear her apart further but I’ve got a 390 sitting on one and a chevy 305 on the other. I wanna do this lincoln engine in her car just because it is so different than any others out there. This is what I get for wanting an engine out of the norm.

I sure hope so. More than anything, I want to make this car look like something a kid back in the 50s or 60s would have built. So with the lincoln engine it will definitely be era correct. As far as the body goes, I have not had a chance to pull it out of its hole and stick it in the garage and start welding on it again. I’ll need to clear some space first so the motorcycle will have to go in the trailer with the 31 and the engines will have to be moved first.

Got another engine stand and the lincoln sitting on it so I could move it and my cherry picker out of the way. Threw some more scrap in the parts pickup and rolled the essex back into the shop. Using blue masking tape, I marked where the chop is going. Going to chop 5-3/4” out of the top!!! Sounds crazy I know but this way I don’t have to deal with fixing the dents in the rear corners. I’m taking a trip to pick up a model a body tomorrow so the chop job probably won’t happen until next weekend.

Woke up in a “get $h!t done” sorta mood today so out to the garage I went. Got all the “extra” bits cut from the subframe and started on the chop. Because the corner panels were so damaged, what I thought were straight lines were not. So a little more masking tape and a few more cuts and one side matched up so I welded it in. I still need to trim up the other side and get her welded up along with the corner as it’s a bit pushed in. As much as I don’t want to use butt clamps, I think I will have to because none of my vise grip clamps are long enough to reach. Either way, progress is progress.

I'm surprised you guys don't know about Downy dryer sheets, rub them on the effected spot and the wrinkles disappear [ddd

Chop on the rear section is finished all welded in, just need to go through and grind down all the spot welds. Once I get those cleaned up I’ll cut down the door jambs and put the rear back on the subframe and make sure everything fits proper.

As for the A, I have no clue what I’ll do with that but at 500 bucks I couldnt pass it up.

Rear section is completed minus cleaning up the welds. Got the b pillars cut down and the rear section clamped in place. Need to trim up the rear section so that it’s a bit easier to weld onto the b pillars but she’s coming along pretty good. Once I get the rear finished up I’ll move onto the front and get it cut then the doors. It’s actually coming along a lot quicker than I initially thought it would.

Nothing to report today. Long shifts today and tomorrow so probably wont get back to it until friday afternoon/evening at the earliest. Also gotta run down to the machine shop to pick up my 390 heads for the 33.
