i ll try to put up a photo of one. 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 tall. just over 1to1. turning around input to out put and fliping it over result in as long as the output shaft side faces the right side of bike (rotates as it should) putting the out shaft side to the left side of bike gives me a bunch of reverses and one forward. a pretty sweet box if someones transmission can be driven off the right side.

So dumb question... how hard would it be to change the rotation on a inline four? looked it up and seemed like it was possible.

On a bike motor, to change the direction of rotation, you would just turn the motor around, and drive off the other end of the crank.

OR

On a twin cam motor, you would have to change
the cam timing around, so the motor could run backwards.

Harley transmission gears are straight cut, meaning they can work in either direction. Flip the trans over, side to side, and you have a right side drive on the input and output. Just wouldn't be able to use the HD kicker, or starter motor, without some rework.

i stood there look n at a 5sp. hd trans. and it never sparked a light to swap sides. i have in the past been in a few and yes they are straight cut gears. now wondering about the shift barrel. the starter would have to be mounted on an adaptor plate along with the right angle drive. thanks...for the spark.
i ll do some look n after work this eve.. i m think n kick n on a diesel is not in my cards.

So got a rad in mind for your diesle ....and have ya got mockup picks of progress so far...Den [P

i may end up eating this, i dislike the radiator on a scooter look. so i ve thought of a series of small cores with fans tied together (cooling test) or two long but narrow set at an angle on both sides of the front down tube, so guess it is up in the air. as to photos at the time of the first go around i wasnt awake to this computer stuff and still not up (and doubt i ever will be)to others speed with it. so nothing to really show other than a few photos for thought after bolting to the bug trans.. heres a deal to a few.

and great deal to the engine photos.. some real beauties

Saw one in a magazine recently, the guy mounted
two small rads below the seat with electric fans.
I've also seen one rad mounted sideways under the seat,
with a fan on one side. Another way would be to mount
the rad horizontal, with a fan on the bottom.

Matt Hotch created a curved rad for his V-rod powered bike, V-Lux.[cl
By tucking it between the down tubes, it is less noticeable.
