Second chances

Hey guy's just had to share this..... one of my close friends of 40+ yrs
has had failing health for the past 4-5 yrs. The latest issue, he was told
he would need a liver transplant.................He was lucky enough to be placed
on the list a couple of months ago, and 2 days a go he got the call, so
3 am he has 5 hours to get to the hospital in VA. He makes it, everything
looks good so they do the surgery, lasted 6hrs... all the Dr.s state that
one of the best reactions they had seen. They had him up and walking today
and starting on solid foods.....still a long road ahead but I believe now that
miracles do happen.......thanks for letting me share.

Latest update, my buddy is supposed to be released from the
hospital tomorrow (WOW) has to stay in a motel close by until
Tuesday, if everything checks out then he can come home....
thanks guys for all of you're concerns.....we all know someone
who could use a break or a helping hand.

Update.....

Well since I last posted this my good friend has had to go on dialysis,
then yesterday he had triple bypass....wow! So far he is doing well ,
he has to be a tough ol bird to have gone through all these things.
3- knee surgery's
and needs one more
liver transplant
dialysis
and now a triple bypass.....

we've been close friends since our early 20's , he let me live in his
shop office after my last divorce for over a year while I recovered...
that's a true friend.....

update....not so good

Well since my last update my buddy has fallen on more
hard times... He's in the hospital again, fell and fractured
his pelvis...again and his port for dialysis has to be replaced...
again He's pretty bummed (I know I would be too) looking at
10 to 12 weeks rehab after surgery tomorrow...plus he still has
to make the trip to VA. to see his liver Dr. every month
Tougher than anyone else I know...He kind of scared me this am
told me he's ready to give up... then he finally said I'm just going to
sell out everything and get something already finished....(whew)
guess I'll be picking up an extra grass cutting job for the summer
