    Got fire!

I had plenty of time on my hands...a couple bowls of weed and a killer Rob Zombie CD cranked up on the stereo. This scene is always a crap shoot and I have come to accept and deal with this build on those terms. I bought a new Dizzy, 8mm plug wires and new spark plugs (went one heat range up...

    Windows

Glass cuts For a first timer....not recommended, personally. To take on a curved window is difficult at best and IF the supply of curved correct fitting windshields are at a premium....not so sure I'd attempt it???? If you adamant about the chop, then persistence will get you to the end point...

Built some tools to help with Ignition Timing

T.D.C. Tool used in my fix Re: how to keep the metal pin in place once inside the spark plug is easy too. If you take a 5/16ths bolt, with a bit of force you will be able to thread it down into the spark plug bore. There is a 'ring' halfway down the bore of the spark plug that the pin threads...

Built some tools to help with Ignition Timing

I've read where others have put off doing some timing work on their motors due to a lack of tool(s) for the job. Two tools that can be made using two leftover spark plugs are #1. A piston top dead center pin, and .. #2 A T.D.C. tool that makes one person piston T.D.C. location simple...

What Did Ya Get Done This Weekend?

The Weekend is HERE! I've yanked the dizzy that was originally on the BBC 396 (.060" over 408 cu.in.) due to it running out of steam at just over 4000 RPM's. I replaced the vacuum advance canister on it with one that pulled in full advance at 8"Hg (motor only makes about 12"Hg) installed a...
