    Traditional vs Rat

Yes. I was speaking about the "other" site mostly. I got flamed pretty bad when I mention the word "rat rod". Needless to say I deleted my account. I'm new to the whole "rodder" scene anyway. I never really knew that there had been lines drawn in the sand. I have always been into the 60's and...

    Traditional vs Rat

Im sure this topic has been discussed before. But, Im new. Soooooo. Why is it that "tradional" rodders hate us "rat" rodders so much? I mean they don't seem to just have different tastes. They seem to flat out hate us. I was just wanting to get some other peoples views on this.

    my 38 chevy build

Got a good start. I like the dodge too. I've always liked those big mean looking grills dodge used.

    41 Chevy extended cab

I have access to another cab. I was going to use it for parts when I chop the top on my truck. But, I thought it might be a cool idea to also turn it into a chopped extended cab. So my question would be. How would I go about doing this? Should I chop my cab and then fit the other cab to it? Or...

    '48 Olds

I ran into the same issuse when I was building a 48 Chevy Fleetmaster. When I measured for the new rear end. I didn't take into account that the centering pins on the leafspring pad were 1.5 off center on the stock set up. So I didn't notice until I got the body on. I had to do the same thing. I...

    41 chevy truck cab

Thank you, I was at Jim Carter's (OldChevyTruck) today. Lucky for me they are only 15 minutes away. They told me the same thing. Just use some ratchet straps and slowly squeeze it back together. They also told me that the door hinges where probably sagging and pushing the section below the door...

    41 chevy truck cab

The first and second pic are of the front and rear lower part of the drive side door. The third pic is of the inside of the driver sides door jam. The 4th is the driver side rear of the cab....it shows how the spot welds have broken free and no longer attached to the floor. The last three...

    41 chevy truck cab

Thank You. There is a huge gap between the lower driverside of the cowl and the front of the door. Also the panel just below the door is hanging about a half inch lower than the rest of the lines on the truck.

    41 chevy truck cab

On the drivers side of my cab. The door isn't fitting so well. I want to get this fixed before I suicide the doors and chop the top. After closer inspection the floor is starting to separate from the cab on the drivers side (the cab is sagging a little lower). Is this a huge problem to fix? Has...

Welcome. Just look around in your area or craigslist. You will find plenty of people wanting to get rid of cars that can be used to update the driveline pretty cheap.

I will try and get a picture of it up. It looks more like a "gun trigger" with a long rod running down into the transmission. It isn't too important...I'm not going to use it. But, if it's worth some money I could sell it for more parts :)

What ever the metal is on the bed makes it weigh a ton. I don't know if you can see all the pedals. But there are 4 of them there is one way behind the shifter. The shifter also has a lever on it next to the shift knob. I was told that it had a rare pto transmission. I'm not real sure what that...
