No way to match patina on cab. So I guess I'll paint the nose.

Progress

I found a '35 Dodge pickup box in pretty good shape for $200.00.
I can't buy the steel and make one for that.
Making a 6 ft bed off a '35 Dodge pickup
fit my '48 Dodge build. Cut 2 ft out of it.

That's the beauty of living in the dessert. We don't get enough moisture here to make severe rust.
Just needed some quick hammer work on the tailgate and front panel to take the bend out.

Got the bed height dialed in and set on the frame.
Doesn't look too bad. I wish I had made it 6" longer but
I can live with it maybe. Or maybe ad it back in.
what do ya'll think?

Need to give my tires about 2" of clearance by making a relief into the bed, square it up and mount it.

Wish it wasn't orange. Starting to look like a coat of many colors.
Might have to consider a flat color paint job.

My knee is swollen up like a poisoned pup so probably won't get much done
