new knee tomorrow

After putting it off for 5 years, gonna bite the bullet
and have knee replaced tomorrow.

Not much progress on the dodge.
new tires for front. went with 215/85R 16 instead of
17.5.

Got started on 4 link on rear.

Now for a minor delay for surgery.
I can only hope it is minor.

six weeks, new knee, cabin fever, a little progress

I got a little done on the Dodge yesterday.
Found a unique 1948 New Mexico license plate.
Block hugger headers so I can run the exhaust
out the rear.
100 amp single wire alternator
Edelbrock carburator
new plugs and wire set.

I think I like the look of the old stock air cleaner
over the new edelbrock cleaner. What do you think?

The engine is something I can work on sitting on
a stool. The Knee is doing good but is rather stiff
and I can't stand very long.

It's not much but at least I'm out of the house.
I'll probably never watch TV again!!!!

I'm not at it hard and heavy but easing into it.
It's all progress and its all got to be done.

I spent the last couple of weeks making a wiring harness.
Didn't save any money but it kept me busy for a while.

New here on RRR, cool Dodge. Had a 52 years back.....if had had only knew then....may have to hunt on down.

So what ever happened with the power wagon you were looking at?

Hey DR good to hear from you.
The poor guys wife totally flipped out on him.
Everything is tied up in the court system.
I can't even get the pass side door that I paid for.
Life can get ugly sometimes when divorce is involved.

Been watching your progress, looking great!

Yea, it can be a pita for sure going through a divorce, they always want money from every little thing you have available... :(
Thanks, I'm trying to make more garage time!
Good to see that 440 in there, it looks at home in the engine bay!

Progress

Got started on the front air bags today.
Don't really know anything about a air bag system
but this is what I came up with. I think it should work.

If anyone sees anything that might give me trouble.
please sound off.

It does go up and down without any binding so....
Need to get a panhard bar on it.

Thanks,
[S POPS [;)

Panhard bar

Can any one shine a light on my dimness?
Does it make any difference which frame rail you mount
Your panhard bracket off of?

I'm trying to get my front panhard figured out and I haven't
Got a clue which rail to mount to. Does it matter?

Thank,
POPS

Panhard bar

Any help would be appreciated.
From the searches I've done it looks like
most folks are mounting on the driver side.

Does it make any difference?

Thanks,
POPS

Really makes no difference which side of the frame it mounts to - it's location is more likely to be dictated by the need to clear steering linkage and the ability to miss everything else during full suspension travel.

Zzrodder,

Room is at a premium. I wish I had given myself another 2" in front of the radiator.
Thanks for the reply.
