well not to be argumentative, but IMO they try to teach too much! seems like they are cramming more and more at these lil' buggers and they can hardly grasp it all before they move on to the next subject.....(if my kids miss a day of school it takes FOREVER to catch up on the missed work)
and while i'm ranting- now they tell us all we MUST learn spanish.....well that might be ok-not against learning another language-but why don't they teach ENGLISH TO THOSE WHO CAN'T SPEAK IT!!!!

I do agree with that. But up in Michigan we have that no child left behind thing. Where if they dont get it they just get passed along so that they arnt held back.

It's 8 degrees and 8 inches of snow. I'm staying home and fire up the heater in the shop.

We hit a record low of Zero last night. We are supposed to have a high of freezing. You guys in the south have got it made, this time of year. Except I hear South Texas is getting a little winter blast in the next couple of days.

i used to love going to the shop on "snowdays" - it seemed as if the whole world was quieter and just "different" (we don't get as much snow as you northern guys) -was fuel for me then...not so much anymore

Hey the chicks liked it CR Had a Vw Rabbit diesel that had been rolled and beaten back out with a big hammer before i got it...cheap. I painted it spray can flat robin egg blue over dents,back windows,whatever. Put 14" wheels on the back and painted all the wheels yellow. THEN huge white and yellow daisys that extended over the windows that were painted blue. Twice women left notes on the windshield saying how much they liked the car

Hey Earthman - my dad had a '67 Ford Cortina that he kept painting big band aids over all the dents and scrapes[my dad was kinda strange] - it looked like a rolling advertisement for Band Aids - "I am stuck on band aids, cause band aids stuck on me" People would really stay clear of you in traffic.
