thanks, CR ......
i am proud of my kids, 10, 7, 2 1/2 and the fact that they like old cars&trucks is just a plus.....i am amused by the differences in what the boys like-differences in style of vehicles - yet try to be positive even when my 10 yr old says a "tuner car" looks cool:eek: or when my 7 yr old wants to put an old truck body on "monster truck tires"[cl

took ALL THREE of them (by my self) to a car show sat morning
.....remembered the "emergency bag" for the 2 1/2 yr old, the stroller....sippee cup - all of the essentials -only thing i forgot was the camera:(

sorry for all the rant this a.m.--but the kids all went back to school & i guess i'm missin them a little:eek:

sittin here at the shop waiting on bondo to dry, well actually it would be more proper to call it "body filler" as i cant stand Bondo brand.

Wait till y'all see what im doin, its border line blasphemy[ddd

About 3 weeks ago I had my first colonoscopy (at age 69). A big polyp was found and removed. It contained some undesireable cells. After one failed attempt to cut a postage stamp size chunk out of my colon wall, I go in this morning for the second attempt. This Doc has some special tools in his bag of tricks. They're keeping me overnight and I'll be pretty sore back there. But hopefully they'll find no rogue cells in the sample.

My main reason for revealing this is to encourage any of you guys in my age bracket to not neglect this important test.

Good luck Bob!

And try not to fart in the good doctors face......

Good luck Bob, prayin for ya!! I just had that procedure done last month and this is exactly why us older guys need to have this checkup, to find stuff early. By the way if you're poor like me social security will pay for most of it, only cost me $200 out of pocket. :)

I am thinking of all of you by not posting any pictures:eek:.
The good news is the Doc got in there and got the chunk out with a minimum of trauma to this old body.
The bad new is my weewee system didn't want to fire up when the catheter came out. So in it went again. I came home with it for a few days. Hopefully I'll be funtional when I remove it.
It will be a few days before I get the test results, but I'm quite optimistic.
I do feel like I sparred a few rounds with Cassius Clay.

Thankyou for the well-wishes.

had promised the boys that i'd pick them up from school in the hotrod someday.......well that "day" was yesterday...pulled up into the parking lot and stopped next to an older lady who knows my mom & family.....
here's the way it went down

"How old is that thing?" she asked

"it's a 46 model..."

"Well it'll be nice when ya get it fixed up...."

"Well this is probably as 'fixed up' as it's gonna get....."

"Oh....."

(at that point i think she changed the subject):p

HRP, after i put the model a on the trailor the day i bought it i stopped to fill up at the first station. Guy comes over to look at the ferrous fossil and says "thats sure going to cost a lot of money to fix up". I just said ahhh not really. I'm just going to get it running and drive it! :)
