Did you try contacting the guy in the Midget motor thread ?
He wanted to do a bike with a BMW trans.

Cook's bike would probably run better with
a better exhaust and a different carb set up.

Hard to get even mixture distribution with a single carb.
I think he has a single side draft carb feeding the intake from below.

The up flow intake looks very Retro, but the motors didn't run real good back then by today's standards.

No didnt get ahold of him but read up on all his posts but he didnt mention anything about a bmw trans that was jleather but he was on the soc4 fourum....anyways invited those guys over here mayby ill post another invite on the midget group.Den

Should have just run the four carbs with velocity stacks still ya gotta give the guy credit.He built a pretty nice bike although I would prefer not so radical and more old school chassis.

Looks like a Ford model A carb.

Just went and checked, you are right, it is an updraft carb.
The guy with the Nimbus on Virtual Indian
tried one of those. Ran very poorly.

I was thinking of the Brass stack pointing forward,
and wrongly concluded it was a side draft carb with an elbow pointing up.
Might have worked better if it was.
