Going to have to save up.
But i will probably go with selectro hubs.
I can switch them from 2xto 4x with mittens on

1 compression test
If acceptable go to
2 pertronix
3 different head
4 four bbl carb
Got my fingers crossed on the compression.
I also need
Locking hubs ( leaning towards selectro)
Dual brake cylinder and new lines/hoses.
I am on the fence with disc brakes.
It seems to stop fine and the drums are good.
But the road gears would make it so my bride would be more likely to go for rides with me

It installed easily.
But I ran out of time before it got dark.
I dont think i understand what to do to adjust a hei distributor.
Set the timing with vac advance plugged.
Then connected the hose and drove a bit.
It had more balls with the points.
My distributor didnt come with instructions

Back on my daily diet of tramadol and Tylenol.
Feeling much better.
Waiting on a timing tape.
Then i will bundle up and go tinker in +7f light breeze weather

Pulled the trigger on these.
They are my favorite kind necause i can switch em with mittens.
Period correct too.

I have a overdrive pulley for the alternator
Locking hubs
And the windshield rubber gaskets to install.
This kind of stuff is fun.
Not like that frikinfrakin complete rewire...

Next is my alternator overdrive pulley.
This should be easy too.
A while back i bought an electric impact wrench and while i dont use it often.
When i need it
Nothing else will do the job

Well fer cryin out loud.
No wonder my ambulance is always right on the edge electrically.
My alternator only puts out 66amps

Finally got around to ordering the windshield rubber gaskets and a replacement door window frame.
Now i will be able to open both windshields and they will be weatherproof when closed
AND my freakin door windows will finally work right!

I am going to make the lip for the cowl vent taller so water wont leak in so easy and i am thinking plumbers putty for a water tight seal.
I already have cleaned out the drain hole.
But this fall i completely sealed the vent off in my frustration of having water pouring all over my behind dash wiring

Got the rubber cowl/windshield gasket.
It doesn't seem wide enough to completely fill the gap from front to back
It looks like it will do a dandy job sealing out water though and it will look good on the outside.
I am going to use some black permatex to be absolutely sure its watertight.
Beats duct tape!
I also found some satin paint in a color called hunting lodge green i like a lot
