Looks like you are making great progress. If I tried something like that I'd end up with a convertible!
 
Had a dent so I cut so I could get to it.

Wound up having to split the back window to get the post to line up better, whats one more cut.lol Ever try to put a puzzle together with to many pieces? With some finesse it's coming into shape.

Looks like you are making great progress. If I tried something like that I'd end up with a convertible!
My next one will be a convertible. I got a plan.

I may even have time to do a build thread. I'm retiring in 35 days. :D
 
Got the posts welded in and started playing with the roof skin. Started with cutting some pieces for the door openings and windshield. sorry for the blurry pics didn't realize until after, I checked settings on my phone.

Trick I found is take angle iron and small clamps and pull the roof into place. I also used load locks from a camper slide make a adjustable support. After everything looks good drill some holes and put Cleco fasteners then remove the C clamps out of the way

What are you going to do about the quarter windows?

All of those sections ....looks like you have 47 feet of welds to look forward to.

I here the new replacement is lamanated and not tempered like they used to be I'll probably use plexi, lexan. Story is you can make a template and put it in the oven and shape it.

Spot weld every 3" should hold it. :D
