The same way it came in Bill. Right side up on a trailer.
I'm set up to flip it. Here is some pics of when I took it off the trailer and flipped it.
It would be interesting to see how the weight of this one compares to a stock from the factory hull. I suspect it's not that much difference. This type of Bottom is really built the same way as the old with the exception of modern materials and a lot more moisture proofing.

I'll be done with it once the bottom has paint on it DR.
I told my bro -in-law that I couldn't store it another winter as I need the shop space to get back to my cars.
As far as the rest of the boat goes..... That has yet to be determined. I feel that too many of my skills are fading to be able to re plank the rest of the boat by myself.

Got the trailer out of the woods and up in front of the shop this morning.
I also worked on the chine caps for both sides.
These are 2 piece now so I made a scarf joint.
I also started to plane down the chine caps to get them closer to flush with the bottom planks.
I could/should have done this prior to painting the bottom but I was facing time and temp issues. So I'll just have to be careful.
That's all for today. Borrowing my Mom -in-laws car as I have to drive 50 miles to get a rental car as our only car got hit while parked at the local market the other day. So it's out of commission for now. I would be surprised if they don't total it.

LOL. Way to many years being a Chef and employer , Crank.
Picked up the rental and got the estimate back on the car. Just waiting to hear from the other drivers ins company as to if they will total it. My guess was only off by a few hundred to the low side.
Nothing is cheap anymore. Not even a hard time.....

Torchie, I've been waiting and waiting for you to get the boat flipped right-side-up so you can put the Y-block in there and test drive it right on the shop floor.

Wait no longer. Mac. Well..... At least for the flip.
Over the years of living here I have set up this garage to be able to do things like flip boats and pull engines and lift bodies off of frames. 3 reinforced trusses as well as a moveable stand alone over head lift .
Just put up some posts for bracing and away we go.[cl And yes, the one brace is the steam chamber. Everything gets double duty.
Not many Pics but I did this by myself so I was a little busy.
Now to get it up on the trailer.
