Ford 300 Six into a 46 Ford Sedan

Does anyone here have a flat head inline six cylinder Ford engine laying around they could measure for me? I am trying to figure if I can easily stuff a 1977 Ford 300 six cylinder into a 46 Ford two door sedan. I know that some of these cars came with inline sixes originally and I am wondering...

    I am looking for...

a kit to mount a rear axle under a 1946 Ford car. The original axle is long gone and I have a 9 inch from a late 50's car that is under it currently(its just sitting there and not bolted up). Since the wheels and eveything fit inside the fenders and it is the right width and all, is there a...

    Camping?

Here is a pic of my 1949 Spartanette Model 24. Its the smallest model Spartan made in 1949. This one is complete and original down to the Oklahoma Department of Health inspection tags on the matresses. Its 27 feet long overall and yes it is a single axle.

    Camping?

This is a picture of my 1949 Spartan Royal Mansion. Yes its 33 feet long and weighs in at a modest 5200 pounds(its all aluminum except the frame). It pulls like a dream even at interstate speeds.

    Camping?

Thats all the pics I currently have of the Fairlane guys. It has a 352 with a three speed automatic tranny in it. The trans was puking fluid pretty badly last fall. I am planning on pulling the current engine and trans and dropping in a 223 inline six cylinder with a three speed manual trans...

    300 Ford six

I agree with ya sam, much more manly of a truck even if it is a pansy blue color. I have worked the carp out of that old 300 for the past 8 years and it has performed flawlessly, the coldest morning it started right up was -36F and it has always given me 12 to 15 mpg which isnt too bad for a 4...

    300 Ford six

Hi Willowbilly3, My snow plow truck has an old carbed 300 under the hood. I absolutely love it when it comes to putting gas in the tank. The guys running small block chevs in their plow truck gripe about burning three to four gallons and hour plowing, my "little" six banger burns less than a...

    Air bag rear spring helpers

I would like to beef up the rear suspension in my 59 Galaxie and use it for pulling a vintage camper. However after having the car out of the garage, yes it fired right up in the below zero weather, I was impressed, I am finding the rear suspension just cannot handle the tongue weight of the...

    Cars in fields..?!?!?!? WTH GIVES..??

When scrap was at its highest a full size crown vic ford drained of all fluids, radiator pulled, cats cut off, and no tires would have brought $400.00 at the scales here, so yeah, burns, I see your point about being a little ticked off for trying to help a guy out only to see it get crushed for...

    Winter is near

I dont have any pics, but what doesnt fit in the garage sits outside in the snowbank and yes from time to time, I will fire them up and spin some circles out in the field with them, nothing like a 400hp big block ford with little to no traction in an open field.

    Cars in fields..?!?!?!? WTH GIVES..??

I agree with ya burns, this past weekend, I had a kid show up wanting a "ford truck tranny to fit my truck that aint broke." After several minutes of Q&A to determine exactly what it was he had and what he needed, I told him I had what he needed in stock, but to come back when he had some cash...
