Thanks guy's. I have a plan to connect the latches to the out side handles.not sure what i am going to do to open from the inside. but I'll figure out some thing.

the latch mechanism was pretty simple. made a small lever and connected the handle to the latch with piece of 1/8 x 1/2 strap. and added a small spring to keep out any rattles. then for an inside handle I realized the old window cranks had a square hole in it that fit the shaft of the door handles. but I had already cut them off, so I welded them back on and cut to the length I needed and drilled and taped threads in the end for the screw that holds on the window crank. couldn't believe how easy all this was to do.

wiring

time to get some wire installed. this is one of my favorite parts. I usually wait till later in a build to do wiring. a lot of this will have to come out again for paint, so I wired every thing with disconnects. if any one is looking for a wire harness check out Bait Shop Street Rods on ebay. they make a nice harness that is all American made and a very reasonable price.

time for an up date. spent the last month blasting all of the sheet metal . it was going to cost $1000 to get every thing stripped .so I bought a HF blaster and 12 bags of blasting media from menards . and built a temp. blasting booth in my shop. worked great. now time for some body work and paint. I have decided to paint it Hugger Orange.
